Your browser encrypts your files and file names before they are uploaded. By default we keep the key encrypted and only release it once your recipient has entered the code or completed the identity check. If you choose “I share the link myself”, the key never reaches our server and the transfer is end-to-end encrypted.
We keep no photo of the ID document. We do keep the name, the date of birth, the type and number of the document, and whether the check succeeded. That way, in a dispute, you can show that the right person got access to the files. We never keep the Dutch citizen service number (BSN).
The check is carried out by our specialised verification partner in the EU. It is certified under ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2. The technology that checks whether a real person is in front of the camera was independently tested under ISO 30107-3 (iBeta Level 1): in that test, not a single attempt with a photo, screen or mask got through. Yes. We recognise passports, ID cards, driving licences and residence permits from more than 220 countries. Later, recipients will also be able to sign in with a digital identity they already have, such as the EUDI Wallet or itsme. We have no date for that yet. The check with an ID document will remain available.
The link stops working and we delete the encrypted files. Free includes download status in your dashboard, but no PDF report. With Certified Delivery you choose 5, 14 or 30 days and we keep the report for 1 year. You can always stop access sooner. Files that were already downloaded stay with the recipient.
No. The recipient’s browser confirms that the files were downloaded, decrypted and checked. That does not prove that someone read or kept them.
Yes, you can with Certified Delivery. The link arrives by email and the code by text message, on the mobile number you enter yourself. Anyone who can only see your client's mailbox cannot get in. Verifying your client takes about 20 seconds. This works with all mobile numbers from the EU. Certified Delivery includes 50 text message verifications a month.
Want to know for sure who opens the files? Choose an identity check. It is the most secure option: your client shows who they are with a passport, driving licence or ID card and a short face check. If your client wants, we keep the check for a year. After that, your client simply and securely opens new files with a fingerprint or face recognition, depending on the device.
Then you cannot start a new identity check until next month. A check counts once the recipient starts it. You can still send with an email code. We never charge extra automatically. Need more? Contact us.
There is no catch. You pay one fixed price per office, not per user,. We never sell data, show no ads and do not use the content of your files for any other purpose.
We save on what you don't see: no expensive office building, no sales department and no other large fixed costs. What we do not save on is security: your files are stored encrypted in European data centres, with continuous monitoring and an encrypted backup every hour. The most expensive parts, such as identity checks and text messages, are part of Certified Delivery with a fixed number per month, so the price stays fair for everyone.
Yes, you can cancel any month, no reason needed and no hassle: simply in your own account. Certified Delivery then runs until the end of the month you already paid for.
With a badge, your recipient sees that the files really come from you. It means your identity document has been checked by TransferGuard, so your recipient knows for sure they are dealing with the right person.
How to get it: sign in, click your name at the bottom left and choose Your badge. Take a photo of your passport, ID card or driving licence and look into the camera for a moment. You are done in about 2 minutes, and the check is free once. Do you receive files with an identity check yourself? Then you can switch the badge on right after that check.
No. The identity check shows who opened your files. It shows who someone is, not whether you can trust them. If you are subject to anti-money laundering rules, such as the Dutch Wwft, or to other professional rules, you still carry out the client due diligence they require yourself.
That duty applies to, among others, accountants and tax advisers, lawyers and notaries, estate agents, appraisers, trust offices, and banks and other financial institutions. Which rules apply to you is explained by your supervisor or professional body.
